Public Attendance

Public consultation Members of the public and press are encouraged to attend any Parish Council or Planning meeting and to express their views on any subject contained in the agenda. This can be done in a variety of ways: *You can talk to any of us in person, *by phone call or *by E Mail before the meeting. *in writing before the meeting. *At the Meeting venue before the matter is discussed in formal session by Councillors. The Chairman will allow time for such expression of views as required. This system represents a minor change in our public consultation system. For procedural reasons, comments made by members of the public attending meetings cannot be taken into account during the formal session of the meetings. Any decision taken by Councillors following their discussions in formal session is therefore only attributable to elected members. For this reason members of the public who wish to represent a view will always be given an opportunity to speak before Councillors sit in formal session.
