Please do not put hazardous materials in the skips – the contractor is not licensed to take the following:

• car batteries
• chemicals
• gas bottles
• asbestos
• fluorescent light tubes
• tyres
• fridges
• freezers
• paint

In addition, recycling skips for plastic & cardboard will be available IN THE VILLAGE HALL CAR PARK from 9.00 – 11.30am on the first Thursday of each month.

Please ensure that all recyclable materials are dealt with in the correct manner. We are informed that Tetra packs cannot be put in the cardboard recycling. They can be left at the collection point at the community shop or taken to Hopton where there is a special container for Tetra packs.

We are also advised that all tops can be put onto plastic bottles as most are made of 1, 2 or 3, so please squash the bottles and put the lids back on. Chirton School, however, collect plastic milk bottle tops and these can be collected searately.
