Welcome to the Urchfont Community Web !
This website brings together the beautiful Wiltshire villages of Urchfont, Wedhampton and Lydeway.
We are working to build this site and related sites into a community web, which provides information about life in the three villages and provides links to other local web pages.
The picturesque, historic village of Urchfont, nestling in the heart of Wiltshire at the foot of Salisbury Plain's north escarpment, has been a settlement for over one thousand years. It was founded on fresh spring waters and fertile soils.
Our current population within the Parish is approximately 1100, with some 500 households.
