Urchfont Village Hall

Urchfont Village Hall (built 1930) comprises a large hall with raised stage at one end, kitchen, toilets, small meeting room and car parking for about 20 cars, including one marked disabled space. The Hall was comprehensively refurbished in 1998 and so provides an excellent venue for your function, private party or meeting.

Main hall: 13.3 m × 8 m (44 ft × 26 ft) plus stage area of 8 m × 2.9 m (26 ft × 9.5 ft). Seats 120 for a stage production or film show with blackout curtains at all windows, or 90 seated at tables for a dinner/dance. Heating is by oil- fired central heating.

Meeting room: 5.4 m × 4 m (18 ft × 13 ft). Suitable for 20 people (maximum). Can be accessed from outside and from main hall. Heating is by electric wall fires. There is a serving hatch from the kitchen into the meeting room.

Note that the kitchen is not suitable for the preparation of meals; food may be re-heated only.

The rooms can be hired separately or together. Both rooms are non- smoking areas.

Hiring charges include heat, light, use of large trestle-size tables (16), small tables (16), fabric chairs (100), plastic chairs (30), electric cooker, water heater, kettles, plastic water urn, cups and saucers (100), tea plates (100). Dinner plates, cutlery and dessert dishes for 100 can be hired at extra cost. A public address system is also available.
