Easterton Village Forum

The Forum has been endorsed by the Parish Council, and exists to coordinate village events and projects. Under the constitution, every resident of Easterton is a member of the Forum, and is entitled to attend meetings and to contribute to Forum plans for the future.

The constitution also allows the Forum to disperse any funds raised for the benefit of the village and other local organisations. Additionally, any profits from the annual Remembrance Lunch are donated to Service charities. As well as organising non- profit making events such as the Royal Wedding celebrations during 2011, the Forum also raises about £2,500 each year. These funds are distributed to a number of local organisations including the Village Hall, the Parish Church, Link and the WI.

A range of tentage is available for use by villagers.

Plans for 2012 so far include a celebration for the Jubilee on Monday 4th June, the Country Fair on Bank Holiday Monday 27th August and the Remembrance Lunch on Sunday 11th November.

In addition, a photographic competition is planned, with the winning photos being used to make a 2013 Easterton Village Calendar. More details about this competition are available via the link below.

The next meeting of the forum, at which we will be discussing these events, is at 6.30pm on Monday 23rd April in The Royal Oak. You are all encouraged to attend. If you have any points or items for the Agenda, please contact David Green (812527) or Gordon Somerville (812538).

The minutes of the last meeting can be accessed via the link below.
