Easterton Parish Council

The Parish Council's roles and responsibilities are explained in detail below (see link) but can be summarised as ... (DG to provide text). We are represented at District level by Jonathon Seed - see link below. The Council consists of the Chair, David Green, Chris Saunders (Vice Chair), and the following are members: Sue Allen, Mala Waters, Keith Jenssen and Shawn White. They are supported by an employed Clerk/Treasurer, Susan Deegan. One of the main responsibilities of the Council is to set, and then spend, the Precept, which is part of your Council Tax. How that was spent last year can be seen via the finance link below. Current Village news is published monthly in the Echoes, delivered to every household in the village. For a scanned/electronic version, see the link below. One of the major recent achievements has been the creation of the Village Design Statement, partly to define what we are as a village, and partly to inform Planning decisions. The document can be viewed via the link below. Council Meetings are held monthly on the second Monday of the month. They are held in the Village Hall and start at 7.30pm. All Parish Council meetings are open to the public and there will always an opportunity for members of the public to speak at Council Meetings. If there are any matters which you wish to bring to the Council's attention, or any matters you wish to have on the Agenda, then please contact the Parish Clerk on 813488. See the links below for the agenda for the next meeting, and the Minutes of the most recent meeting.
