Canal Boat Trip - 4th May 2012

Members of the band enjoyed a leisurely cruise on the Kennet Canal on Friday 4th May. The trip was made possible through the generosity of Darren and Andy Phillips who raised the money for the band to have a good time in memory of their father Gordon, a drummer with the band for many years.

Quite a few new faces joined regular band members at the Transport & Heritage Steam Show & Car Rally at Pilford Heath Farm, nr Wimborne.

A couple of comments received from the audience: "it was lovely to see such organised chaos turning into a fun band" and "thank you for giving our family such pleasure". We aim to please.

Quote of the Year - from our Chairman "We had an amazing day at Swanage last Saturday. Basic seven KKB were joined by others, both local and itinerant ad hoc players; final count was about fifteen. Just like the old days of KKB .... nobody knew who, what or when, or even if, we were going to play next, but we got away with it splendidly. The crowd seemed to think we knew what we were doing!" . . and we are likely to be invited back to the Pirate Festival in 2018!!
